Puerto Rico

We have been so lucky this year with many opportunities to travel. Dec 16-23 we went to Puerto Rico. For the first 5 days of the trip, I was working at the VA Regional Office in San Juan, while Doug enjoyed his much deserved vacation. We stayed a few extra days to spend together laying out on the beach and sightseeing. It was really amazing to lay on the beach in 85-90 degree weather in late December. We also hiked at El Yunque rainforest (the only official rainforest in the US), toured Old San Juan, learned to dance Flamanco (sadly we forgot the camera this night), and enjoyed lots of local Christmas music and food.

Hope everyone had a great holiday with their families. I look forward to seeing all the pictures. Miss you guys!

A Funky Christmas to All

Thanks New Kids for the holiday cheer! I miss my over sized "Joe" pin I used to wear. Enough NKOTB. Merry Christmas! Easton and I are headed to CO tomorrow and Rob will come out before Christmas. I have not been home for Christmas since before we were married so I am excited. No news on London yet...we are actually supposed to hear today so we'll see....
This last weekend was Rob's holiday party for work. We went to Universal Studios. It was pretty fun. Here are a few pics...
I hope that everyone has a great Christmas. Love you guys.

Christmas Cheer

You'll have to pause our festive Chritsmas music for this one... I just wanted to share one of the fabulous videos I came across this weekend on You Tube. Thought it might instigate some conversation on this thing since it seems we have forgotten how to use it lately ;)

For those of you who do not remember 1994, this was the New Kids on The Block's Christmas performance on the Aresenio Hall show.

my new ride

What the Doug wanted to get...

What I wanted to get...

...and our compromise...

Now, isn't that what marriage is really all about...compromise?!
Now we can get the jeep prepared to sell. With all we've had to spend on gas lately for the jeep, we've basically been making car payments already...

Long time no blog

It has been forever since I have posted on here, but just so you know I do keep up with reading it at least! Things have been crazy here with our new baby girl but good. Steve got into all the grad schools he applied to, which unfortunately made our decision much harder,...the choice is U of Utah though. It has the robotics/mechatronics program he wants. ( nerdy...we know) We are moving the end of December and I am definitely not looking for to trying to pack and watch after Aubrey.

Speaking of, here are lots of pictures of baby Aubrey that I took yesterday. She been giving us a couple little smiles in her sleep, and I was lucky enough to catch a couple. She is six weeks old today. She's been really colicy at night because of her acid reflux medicine, but last night was red-letter. She slept for 5 hrs straight! It was like a miracle, because the night before that she didn't stop wailing from 5pm to 3am! Heavenly Father knew we needed a little break. I also put up some pictures we had of our nephew Logan (aka "the chicken") and Farmer Amber. Enjoy!

The Holiday Season

Hey All...
So we have had a crazy last few weeks and it promises to get crazier as we approach Thanksgiving and Christmas. We were in CO for 10 days in mid October. It was fun but it is always hard to be away from home for so long. We got back to LA and after nearly two weeks of vomit and diarrhea on Easton's part we are finally feeling back to normal. But...it won't last long because we are headed to SLC next week for Turkey day and then to CO about 2 weeks later for Christmas. It is madness!!
In more interesting news...We may be moving across the pond! Rob's job has offered him a position heading up their new office in London! It is a lot to think about so we are not quite sure what we are going to do. They have not made their official offer so we don't know what kind of perks moving to the UK might include. Obviously it will be far from family and a culture shock. It would be a great opportunity for Rob though and fun for us to be able to travel around Europe easily. They are looking for a 2 year commitment. We will keep you posted as we get closer to making a decision. If we go it would be in March or April.
Hope all is well with everyone. Here are some pics of our CO trip for the most part... and our little Turtle.
