Dear Red,
I am writing to you because I am currently eating a frozen pizza that isn't completely thawed, while drinking from a glass that appears to have some type of growth at the bottom. The problem is I can't take care of myself. I really need someone who can help me pick out my clothes, cook my frozen pizza's and wash my towels. I have thought about getting married, but no one seems to be interested in the position. What can I do?
Helpless
Dear Gavin,
I think perhaps you have a literacy problem. You do know they put heating instructions on the back of the box, right? Listen, being helpless is super cute…if you're a puppy. But come on man; get up and wash your glass - that's just not healthy.
What would your mother say?

The McClures
Two weeks ago, I had another work trip. This time I went to Houston for a few days. Luckily Nick & Alissa live there. They took me to a fun restaurant, and we spent a couple of hours catching up. It was great to see them again. Now that they live in Texas, hopefully we'll get to see them more often. Plus, they're practically family since Nick's sister is married to Doug's brother. I love my in-laws :)

Some News
The time has finally come! Friday night David opened his mission call, with everyone watching via i-chat. He will be serving in San Jose, California (English speaking) and he goes into the MTC on May 21st. We're all very proud of him, and can't wait for the first Elder Kent.
Also, last week Brett and I went to our first concert together...Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban. It was my birthday present, and boy was it a great one! They were both terrific performers, and we had a really good time. I took some pictures to post on the blog, but they didn't turn out so well.
Now we are getting excited for our visit to California next week, and especially for our move back to UTAH in May! Our realtor is already looking for houses, and obviously we've been checking them out online. Looks like we'll be driving out over Memorial Day weekend, so I look forward to hanging out with you Utah girls this summer. Speaking of hanging out...anyone else have plans to join me and Katie in KC next month?;)

A Lil' Red
Dear Red,
I am "interested" in a certain "someone" who will remain "name less". I really want to "sweep" this certain "someone" off of "their feet" for Valentines. But I "don't know" how to "go about it". What can "I" do?
"Unknown"
Dear Air Quoter,
For starters, you've got to stop "that" right now. Next, by "someone" I'm sure you mean me and I like sparkly jewelry. But let's be honest, Valentine's Day is not a holiday to mess around with so unless you're extremely clever (or she's completely smitten) sticking with the cliché is the only way to go. Plan on spending some cash and do your best to not blow "it".
Ring size 6,
Red

Heber Valley Camps
This past weekend, Doug & I got to visit my parents as they serve their mission at the Heber Valley Camps in Utah. We had such a great time and were amazed at the beauty around the camps. My parents also invited Doug's family to come spend a night as well, which was really neat since it had been over a year since we had seen them. It was so much fun sledding and playing in the snow. I was also glad to leave it though--We came back early Wednesday morning to awesome 70 degree weather in Austin :)

Seattle
We just got back from vacation too! The last 4 days were spent in Seattle, Washington. Brett interviewed with Pro Sports Club, and I think he impressed them as much as the facility impressed me! It was my first visit to the Pacific Northwest, and I wasn't disappointed. I loved how there were trees everywhere, and it was so nice to be near the water (both Lake Washington and Puget Sound). We went to the aquarium, ate fresh seafood, explored downtown, and even discovered the temple was just 4 miles down from our apartment. I think we were there during the perfect time too, because it only rained lightly on one of the days. So all in all it was a fun trip, and here are a few pictures to prove it!
